Starting from Monday 8th January, we are changing how you request urgent appointments at the surgery.
Our urgent appointment line (option 1) will now be open from 8am until 11am, and from 2pm to 4pm. If you call outside these hours, we may ask you to call back, unless we determine that your medical issue cannot wait.
This will allow us to cope with increasing demand, and makes time for essential home visits. It also helps us with the rising burden of administrative tasks that clinicians manage between patients.
We are not limiting the number of calls we accept. We pride ourselves on always being able to offer same-day clinician assessment for those who need it, and this will not change.
At the same time, we are introducing a new way to submit medical queries and administrative requests online.
This service will be available from 7am until 11am, and aims to help those who struggle to call the surgery during the hours above.
